Caring For Your Teak
One of the attractions of teak outdoor benches is that it requires very little maintenance apart from an anual wipe down with soapy water in the spring to remove any build-up of dirt, bird-droppings and so on. Due to its dense grain you don't have to stain or seal it at all because it produces its own natural oils that keep the wood in good condition. When exposed to the elements, teak will slowly change from its natural golden brown colour to a silvery grey. If you do oil your teak anually, this will allow it to keep its original colour.
